Yong Tau Foo

Yong Xiang Xing Dou Fu is a hugely popular stall selling yong tau foo soup. It comes with pieces of tofu with fish paste, fried tofu with fish paste, fishballs and fried tau kee fish rolls. There is no noodles or rice with it, just the yong tau foo pieces.

The tofu with fish paste is very smooth and soft, with nice flavours. Likewise for the fried version of it, soft and smooth with a lightly chewy skin. The fishball is firm and springy and smooth. The tau kee fish roll is firm with nice savoury flavours.

These yong tau foo pieces comes served in a bowl of tasty flavourful soup that is topped with chopped spring onions. Tastes so nice that I’ve finished drinking the whole bowl of soup. It comes with a saucer of dipping sauces – sweet sauce and chilli sauce. This is definitely an absolutely lovely bowl of yong tau foo soup. I like it!
