Chicken Rice

Lian Seng Chicken Rice serves the usual choices of chicken rice. Seen here is their roast chicken rice that comes with a bowl of soup.

The roast chicken is soft and moist with nicely flavoured skin. The rice is firm and flavourful. Comes with a bowl of nice tasting vegetables soup. A limey chilli sauce is optional.

This roast chicken rice is rather decent.

Chicken Cutlet Rice

Chicken cutlet rice is also available. The chicken cutlet is deep fried again when placing your order. It is served with a choice of braised sauce, salad or chilli paste. Seen above is with chilli paste.

The chicken cutlet is moist and meaty with nice crispy breaded crust, and nice seasoning flavours. The rice is firm and flavourful. A few cucumber slices are included on the side. The sambal chilli paste has nice dried shrimp flavours and contains tiny ikan bilis bits. It is nice. Comes served with a bowl of nicely flavoured vegetables soup.

This plate of chicken cutlet rice is nice.

Char Siew & Siu Yuk Rice

Besides chicken, char siew and siu yuk is available as well. This is served with rice and soup.

The char siew is soft and meaty with a slightly sweet taste. The siu yuk has a savoury taste. It is meaty with soft fatty parts and crispy skin. Quite likeable.

The rice served is the same as the chicken rice. It is firm and flavourful. It is served with a slightly sweet tasting braised sauce. You can also ask for some sambal chilli paste to be provided. It comes with a bowl of soup, and this time it is a nice tasting sweet corn and carrot sweet. The soup is really nice with sweet corn flavours. Thumbs up.

This serving of char siew siu yuk rice is rather enjoyable.
