Fried Carrot Cake

Kim Kee Homemade Carrot Cake does fried carrot cake using their own homemade radish cake in the usual choice of black and white, and with an option to add prawns as an extra add-on.

Their homemade radish cake is soft with slivers of radish shreds inside. These are cut into small cubes and pan fried with eggs and chye poh added to a light crisp.

The white version is not the pancake type ones but with small soft cubes of radish cake. Shown here is with prawns added. Similarly, the black version uses small soft cubes of radish cake with sweet black sauce added giving it a mildly sweet taste. Both versions has nice flavours and the crispy parts are good. Personally I prefer the black ones a little bit more here. This is definitely quite a good fried carrot cake.
