Hor Fun

Hock Kee does hor fun and its rice equivalent, with choice of beef slices or sliced fish. This hor fun comes served in a gravy with eggs, that tastes average. The hor fun has a nice smokey wok hei though, but everything is precooked here and just slightly warm. This is a negative for me.

The sliced fish used are just the regular frozen type and isn’t the freshest ones around. Just average. As for the beef slices, they are tender with decent flavours. However its tender texture feels strangely like pork and it tastes like pork too. I am truly confused about the beef here, how did they make the beef slices feels like tender pork and tastes like one. Go figure.
