Mutton Curry

Hai Nan Hometown Curry serves various curries with chicken, pork, mutton and vegetables as options. Seen above is their mutton curry with bread and fried mantou chosen as sides. Rice is available as an alternative to go with the curry as well.

The curry sauce is nicely flavoured, slightly spicy with a tint of savouriness. Comes with soft and meaty boneless mutton meat, and pieces of soft flavourful curry potato. The mutton meat is not gamey either. It is very likeable.

As for the sides, the bread is your regular neighbourhood bakery type of baguette loaf. It is quite thinly sliced and not toasted. Its crust is soft and not crispy, but goes rather well with the curry. The fried mantou is the regular frozen type and is deep fried until it is crispy outside but soft inside. The crispy mantou goes really well with the curry sauce. I like it. Thumbs up!

Pork Chop Curry Rice

Hai Nan Hometown Curry also serves individual plates of curry rice with choice of mains.

The pork chop has a nicely breaded crispy crust. It is soft and meaty with nice seasoning flavours. Served with rice and curry sauce with pieces of curry potato. This one is good.

Chicken Cutlet Curry Rice

This chicken cutlet has a lightly coated crust that is crispy. Its meat is soft and moist, and its skin is crispy. The chicken cutlet has nice savoury flavouring, and goes really well with the curry sauce. Comes served with rice and pieces of curry potato. The chicken cutlet curry rice is good too.

Fish Fillet Curry Rice

This fried fish fillet is crispy outside and moist inside. Nice flavours too. It is served with rice, pieces of curry potato and curry sauce. I like this one too.

Tempura Prawn Curry Rice

The tempura prawns are the frozen supermarket type. They are deep fried with a nice crispiness. Served with rice and curry sauce. In my opinion, the pork chop, chicken cutlet and fish fillet are better but this tempura prawn curry rice is still quite likeable.
