Fishball Noodles

Ah Gong Teochew Noodle sells fishball noodles with the usual assortment of noodles. Seen above is their signature noodles with mee pok. It comes with fishballs, fish cake, meatball, minced meat, some vegetables and topped with fried shallots, crispy lard and chopped spring onions. Comes served with a bowl of savoury tasting soup with a tint of peppery flavours.

The mee pok noodles is not the springy type. It is on the softer side but still firm. Has a hint of of ketchup flavours. The minced meat topping on the noodles is soft and moist with nice flavourings. Likewise for the fried minced meatball, it is soft and has nice flavours.

The fishball is soft but yet it is firm and springy with a nice light savoury taste. Similarly for the fish cake, it is firm and springy with a nice chewy skin and a nice savoury taste.

This mee pok is rather likeable. Thumbs up.
