Fish Soup

Xu Sheng Famous Fried Fish Soup serves fish soup with the usual variety of fried fish and fish slices with your choice of noodles. Shown here is their double fish soup thick mee hoon with an extra bowl of fried egg for snacking on.

The double fish soup comes with both fried fish and fish slices with tomato, vegetables and topped with a bit of fried egg. The fish soup tastes nice, lightly favoured and not salty. The fish slices and fried fish tastes decent too. The fried fish has a slightly salty taste from its light flour batter and is no longer crispy. Similarly, the fried egg is no longer crispy but still tastes fairly nice on its own with mild salty flavours. It tastes much better when put into the fish soup, soaking up the soup’s flavours.

This maybe fairly likeable but it is quite ordinary. For a much better fried fish soup, you can take a short stroll to Havelock Road Food Centre. The fried fish at You Yi Fish Soup is so much better.
