Xiao Mian Dian

serves various choices of ban mian, fish soup and dumplings. Rather nice flavours.

Mee Hoon Kueh

This bowl of mee hoon kueh comes with bits of pork meat, a raw egg, some mushroom slices and vegetables. It is topped with crispy ikan bilis and crispy fried shallots.

The soup is nicely flavoured with a light savoury taste. The noodles is rather firm but looks like factory supplied ones rather than house-made ones. The pork is soft and meaty with decent flavours, and the mushrooms is soft and flavourful too. This bowl of mee hoon kueh is quite a decent one.

Double Fish Soup

Fish soup is also served here. Seen here is their double fish soup, which comes with both sliced fish and fried fish, with ban mian.

This bowl of fish soup has nice light savoury taste with a hint of ginger. The ban mian is firm and springy. Comes with some vegetables, mushroom slices and ginger slices. It is topped with some crispy and savoury tasting ikan bilis and crispy fried shallots.

The fried fish has decently nice savoury seasoning flavours. It is still fairly crispy with soft meat. As for the sliced fish, it is smooth and soft with nice seasoning flavours. The parts with fatty fish skin is especially nice. Personally I prefer sliced fish a little more than the fried fish, though both are decently nice.

Chicken Cutlet Noodles

Besides the usual ban mian and fish soup, chicken cutlet with tossed you mian is served as an option too.

The you mian is springy and tossed in a nice flavourful black sauce. Some vegetables and sliced mushrooms are added to it. The chicken cutlet is meaty with decent flavours. Unfortunately it is mostly soft and not crispy anymore. Comes served with a bowl of light savoury fish soup on the side.

This chicken cutlet noodles would have been better if the chicken cutlet is crispy and juicy. It is still rather nice though. I quite like the you mian with its flavourful seasoning.

Dumplings

Boiled dumplings are available as well. The dumplings has a nice savoury juicy meat filling containing chives. It has a chewy skin wrapper. Quite likeable.
