Wanton Mee

Three Brothers Hong Kong Wanton Noodle does wanton mee with choice of egg noodles, spinach noodles or tomato noodles. Seen above is with their wanton mee with regular egg noodles.

This wanton mee comes with slices of char siew and fried wanton served with tossed egg noodles. A bowl of wanton soup comes on the side.

The egg noodles is tossed with crispy lard pieces with an oyster sauce based seasoning, similar to Hong Kong though not as intense. It is firm and springy. Comes with some vegetables and optional green chilli and chilli paste. The chilli paste has nice dried shrimp flavours.

The char siew slices is the lean meat type. It is soft and tender with a savoury tasting seasoning sauce added. The fried wanton has a nice airy crispy skin with a nicely flavoured savoury meat filling. The soup wanton is served in a bowl of ikan bilis flavoured soup. It has a soft skin wrapper and its meat filling has nice savoury seasoning flavours. Tastes of mushrooms too. Both types of wanton are nice.

This wanton mee tastes nice. I like it.
