Nasi Lemak

This is a standard nasi lemak set from Tao Yao Cooked Food that comes with a fried egg, a piece of fried chicken wing, ikan bilis and peanuts on a plate of coconut milk rice and sambal on the side.

The rice is fairly fragrant. The ikan bilis and peanuts are crunchy but getting soft. The fried chicken wing is slightly crispy but it is mostly soft. Decent savoury tastes and moist meat. The fried egg is just your regular fried egg and so is the sambal chilli.

This nasi lemak isn’t lousy, but it isn’t good either. It is just another ordinary plate of nasi lemak.

Fried Mee Hoon & Noodles

This is a serving of their fried mee hoon and fried noodles. The hash brown and fried egg are extras.

The fried mee hoon has a nice dry texture with nice flavourings. The fried noodles has some kway teow mixed into the yellow noodles. It is springy with decent flavours too. Both has a very slight sweet taste. The fried egg is a bit oily and the hash brown is just your regular supermarket stuff.

Both the fried noodles and fried mee hoon are quite decent, though I like the fried mee hoon a bit more.
