Hainanese Chicken Rice

Shen Ji Ji Fan Chicken Rice sells both hainanese chicken and roast chicken rice. Shown here is their hainanese chicken and roast chicken with rice and soup.

The hainanese chicken is quite nice, with moist chicken meat and smooth chicken skin. Can’t say the same for the roast chicken though. The roast chicken meat is quite dry and tough, the skin tastes alright though. Do note that the chicken slices are not deboned. A soya sauce based seasoning is added, giving these a nice savoury taste. The rice is fairly fragrant and nicely flavoured. The accompanying soup has a nice salted vegetables taste to it.

Go for the hainanese chicken rice which is rather likeable. It definitely tastes better than the roast chicken here.
