Penang Fried Kway Teow

This Penang fried kway teow comes with prawns and lap cheong slices added to kway teow and bean sprouts wok fried with egg and lard. There is no yellow noodles in this plate of fried kway teow. The fried kway teow has a nice light savoury taste. The prawn is decent and the lap cheong has a sweet taste. This plate of Penang fried kway teow is rather nice. I like it.

Penang Prawn Mee

This prawn mee is done Penang style with prawns and an egg, in a bowl of soup containing yellow noodles with some bean sprouts and vegetables. It is topped with some fried shallots and chilli sauce. The prawns are decent and the nicely flavoured soup is a bit spicy. This is quite a nice bowl of prawn mee.

Penang Assam Laksa

The Penang assam laksa is something that is done totally different from Singapore laksa. This laksa has a soury and spicy gravy, served in a bowl with thick mee hoon, bean sprouts, some vegetables, onion bits, cucumber slices and pineapple slices. It is topped with a black sweet sauce and some chopped chilli. The sweet black sauce gives this laksa a faint note of sweetness. Quite nice.

Fried Rice

Fried rice is served here as well. This fried rice has a nice dry texture and nice flavourings. It includes some prawns and lap cheong slices. Served with a fried egg with crispy sides and topped with some fried shallots. Although this plate of fried rice is a little bit oily, it is still quite likeable.
