Claypot Curry

Hock Shun Traditional Homemade Curry does various types of curry served in a claypot with choice of white rice, yellow rice and bread. You can choose from chicken wings, chicken drumstick, fish, curry vegetables and even curry yong tau foo. Shown here is chicken drumstick with yellow rice and bread.

Let’s start with the curry first. This curry is thick with nice coconut milk flavourings and spicy. Comes with a whole piece of chicken thigh that is soft and tender. Its chicken skin is especially flavourful after soaking up the curry sauce. Also comes with a few chunks of curry potatoes. When an order is placed, all these are put into a claypot with curry sauce, heated until it is boiling and served piping hot.

The curry comes with a choice of white rice, yellow rice or bread. The turmeric yellow rice is really fragrant and tastes like flavoured chicken rice. French loaf is used for the bread and is toasted with a light crisp. Both the rice and bread are recommended as the curry sauce mixes really well with both. If you’re greedy like me, you can always go for both. Have the rice first and use the bread to soak up all the residual tasty curry rice. This way, nothing goes to waste. Yummy!
