Lo Mai Gai

This is a Singapore style lo mai gai. It has nice soft chicken meat with nice savoury flavours topped on glutinous rice. The rice is fairly soft and moist and kind of chewy. I quite like this lo mai gai.

Siu Mai

This siu mai which is made of pork fillings in a wanton skin wrapper, Singapore style. Unlike the Hong Kong ones, this doesn’t come with prawns or other toppings and is physically larger in size. This siu mai has very nice savoury meaty flavours with soft and moist meat. Nice!

Big Pau

This big pau has nice soft and juicy minced pork fillings with a slice of boiled egg. Its filling has nice savoury tastes with a hint of ginger. Contains crunchy bits of water chestnut bits too. All these are wrapped in a firm pau crust. Not too hard, just firm. I quite like this.

Small Pau

The small pau is the much smaller petite sized sibling to the big pau. Same tasty, soft and juicy meat filling but no slice of egg. Same firm texture pau crust.

Char Siew Pau

Firm pau crust with char siew bits as fillings instead of minced pork. This char siew pau is petite size. Its char siew fillings has nice smokey flavours and a very light tint of sweet. I like this.

Red Bean Pau

This petite sized red bean pau has nice sweet tasting red bean paste in a firm pau crust. I like the fact that it isn’t overly sweet.

Lotus Paste Pau

Similarly the lotus paste pau is sweet but not overly. Uses lotus paste filling instead of red bean paste in the same firm pau crust. Both are likeable.
