Fried Chicken Wings

Eng Kee Chicken Wings is well known for their fried chicken wings that are supposedly good. However my own taste test finds them subpar. Although its skin is crispy and its flesh is fairly moist, this fried chicken wings does not have the usual juiciness normally associated with chicken wings.

This chicken wing has a lightly coated skin that is savoury. Its meat is savoury as well. In fact, its seasoning is way too salty that it leaves a dry aftertaste. Comes with a slightly sweet tasting chilli dip that does nothing to its saltiness level. This fried chicken wing is too salty for my liking. Definitely way overrated. Thumbs down.

If you are located at Redhill Food Centre, a much better fried chicken wing can actually be found at the stall directly opposite. In my opinion Faith Nasi Lemak Fried Bee Hoon Mee does much better fried chicken wings. Give it a try, I am quite sure that you would agree with me on this.

Fried Mee Hoon

Fried mee hoon is available here as well. Seen here is with a fried egg and fish ngo hiang added.

This fried mee hoon has strong soya sauce flavours. They probably added a lot of soya sauce as its flavourings. The fried mee hoon is not to my liking as well. There are much better options out there.

As for the fish ngo hiang, it is soft with fairly ordinary flavours. The fried egg, too.

Fried Noodles

Fired noodles is available as well. This fried noodles has a mixture of kway teow and yellow noodles. Seen here with fried egg and fishcake added.

This fried noodles and kway teow mix is springy but a bit bland, and you can taste slight alkaline flavours of the yellow noodles. It tastes better when mixed with chilli sauce. This fried noodles is quite ordinary, though better than their fried mee hoon. As for the fishcake, it is firm and springy, rather decent.
