Chee Cheong Fun

Chang Le Chee Cheong Fun sells just one item – chee cheong fun, and just the regular plain ones that are factory made and served with house-made sauces. It maybe something subtle, but the house-made sauces and seasoning makes quite a difference.

The chee cheong fun is served in a plastic takeout container with a mixture of soya sauce and oil seasoning, house-made sweet sauce and a dollop of chilli paste added on the sides. Some sesame seeds tops it off.

The chee cheong fun itself is very smooth from the added oil and the soya sauce gives it a nice savoury flavour on its own. The house-made sweet sauce adds rather well to its flavours, giving it a sweet taste but not overly. As for the chilli paste, it has dried shrimp flavours with a hint of sweetness.

This chee cheong fun is definitely likeable. Thumbs up.
