Chwee Kueh

Bukit Timah Chwee Kueh sells only chwee kueh. Its steamed rice cake is decent, not overly soft and not to hard. However its chye poh is kind of dull. It is slightly salty with just a tiny little hint of sweetness, and a bit dry. A more intense taste and a little bit of oil would have been nice. Chwee kueh is a very simple food. Basically chye poh is the essence of a chwee kueh. Unfortunately the chye poh here can’t make it. This is just average.
