Hainanese & Roast Chicken Rice

Bu Zheng Zong Hainanese Chicken Rice does hainanese chicken rice with a difference, it is served with a piece of green lime. Seen above is their hainanese chicken and roast chicken rice.

Both the hainanese chicken and roast chicken has meaty and moist meat. The hainanese chicken has nice soft and smooth skin. The roast chicken has nice savoury flavoured skin. Both are nice. Add a dose of green lime juice on to the chicken and there is a nice tint of refreshing limey taste to it.

The rice provided is fairly flavourful and firm. The soup has bean sprouts flavours to it. The optional chilli sauce is very garlicky with a limey taste.

This serving of chicken rice is quite interesting and rather likeable.

Char Siew & Siu Yuk Rice

Besides chicken rice, char siew and siu yuk is available as well. The char siew is the lean type with meaty and sweet flavours. The siu yuk has nice savoury flavours, is meaty with some soft fatty parts and crispy skin. These are served with white rice with a sweet tasting sauce added. Decent.

Chicken Cutlet Noodles

Noodles is also available as an alternative to rice. Seen above is their chicken cutlet with mee pok.

The chicken cutlet has nice savoury seasoning flavours with a fairly crispy breaded crust, is meaty and decently soft. The mee pok is rather firm and smooth with decent savoury seasoning. Comes with a piece of vegetable and some crispy pork lard added.

The chicken cutlet mee pok is quite a decent choice too.
