Braised Duck

Boon Tong Kee Kway Chap Braised Duck (unrelated to the famous chicken rice store with the same name) does braised duck with choice of rice or noodles.

This braised duck rice comes served with brown yam rice instead of regular white rice. This yam rice is very fragrant and has a hint of dried shrimp to its taste. The rice is topped with slices of tender braised duck meat and a generous dose of braised duck sauce. A few slices of cucumber and a scoop of sambal chilli comes on the side. A bowl of kway chap soup rounds up this delicious dish.

If rice isn’t to your fancy, you can go for a serving of yellow noodles instead. Their braised duck noodles is equally nice too. Shown here is with yellow noodles mixed with braised sauce and chilli. Mix the noodles well as the braised sauce is at the bottom of the bowl. It comes served with a bowl of soup on the side as well.
