Braised Duck & Braised Pork

Ban Chuan Boneless Braised Duck does the usual braised duck and braised pork with choice of noodles or rice. Seen above is their braised duck rice set which comes with slices of boneless braised duck, braised egg and braised tofu served with braised rice. The braised pork is an extra add-on.

The braised duck is soft and meaty with nice braised flavours. Likewise for the braised pork belly, meaty with soft fatty parts and nice savoury braised flavours. The braised egg has decent flavours as well. However the braised tofu tastes a bit bland.

The braised sauce rice is firm but a little bland. It tastes better with extra braised sauce added. The soup has a nice hint of herbal taste. As for the chilli, there is a chilli paste and a watery chilli sauce. The chilli paste has a slightly sweet taste, and the chilli sauce limey. Both tastes nice when matched with the serving of braised duck rice.

This serving of braised duck and braised pork rice is quite a decent one.
