Hainanese Chicken Rice

Ah Lai Kampong Chicken Rice uses kampong chickens for their hainanese chicken and roast chicken. Seen above is their hainanese chicken and roast chicken rice, both drumsticks. Comes with a bowl of lightly savoury salted vegetables soup and a garlicky chilli sauce on the side.

The hainanese chicken is soft and moist with really smooth skin. The roast chicken has moist meat and nicely flavoured skin. They come served on a plate with soya sauce seasoning that has a faint hint of sweet taste and some cucumber slices. Both are nice.

As for the rice, it is fragrant with nice flavourings and a hint of ginger. This is definitely a lovely plate of chicken rice. I like it.
