Claypot Bak Chor Mee

Ah Gong Minced Pork Noodle serves minced meat noodles in a claypot. Seen above is the soup version of their signature bak chor mee with mee kia. This claypot noodles comes with minced pork bits, fu chuk, pork balls and wanton dumplings with a slice of lettuce, some crispy pork lard and fried shallots.

The minced pork bits is meaty with nice seasoning flavours. Likewise for the pork balls, meaty with nice seasoning flavours. The fu chuk is soft and soaking up the soup’s flavours. The wanton has soft skin wrapper with meaty minced meat filling.

The mee kia noodles itself is springy with nice savoury taste. As for the soup, it has nice savoury flavours but it contains alkaline flavours coming from the noodles. It would have been nicer if the soup does not taste of noodles. This claypot bak chor mee still tastes quite decent and likeable though.
